It was necessary to dismantle a "new" wood stove I purchased in 2000 in order to move it. I found in the sealing crevices a certain looking material which I am advised is asbestos. I need to replace that sealant. What do I do?.

I plan to exit the stove pipe through the roof. What do I need to assure that I have every safety precaution in place?

Await comments and/or instructions.

Thanks
