I have the "babybear" Fisher wood stove. I have researched for about an hour trying to find "how-to" replace the gasket seal. What size gasket? Where do you apply the gasket, on the doors or the stove itself? Please help, my family is freezing!

I had trouble when I replaced the gasket that goes around the window of the woodstove. I figured out that there is a special gasket with a peel strip and stickum. It wraps around both sides of the window so it seals really well and protects the window when you install it.

I found the gasket at Fargo Paint and Glass, so you may have to go to a similar store in your area. None of the big box stores had it, but it sure makes window gasket replacement easier.
